  • All units can be provided with live Pump Pad Drives, with pumps driven from either side of the tower.
  • Drives accept up to 480 hp or 300 hp on each drive gear. Gears are driven at a 1.0:1.0 ratio from the engine speed.
  • Charge pumps for engaging the hydraulic clutch can be provided by Twin Disc or the customer.
  • Pump tower can be eliminated if not required, but the PTO package length is unchanged.

Pump Drive

Quality Is Standard

Meet hydraulic system needs with industrial pump drives in a wide variety of gear ratios, including speed-increasing and speed-reducing configurations. Modular design choices include a flexible coupling, rubber block drive, or clutch to match your SAE engine flywheel dimensions. Independent mounting is an option, direct or with a clutch. Twin Disc also offers standard and specialized SAE and DIN adaptor kits.

Pump drive model numbers indicate the number of pump pads, using the first numeral after the “AM” designation. Models AM 232, AM 365, AM 450 and AM 480 have additional pump pads on the input side.

  • Cast iron housings
  • Case hardened and ground spur gears (shaved gears for AM 216 through AM 320)
  • Ball bearings
  • Case hardened shafts
  • Viton seals on input shaft
  • Output rotation opposite the direction of input rotation
  • Gear ratios identical on all outputs
  • Maximum input torque based on theoretically unlimited gear life and a minimum L10 bearing life of 10,000 hours
